Lawana Hall-Conklin

Lawana Hall-Conklin is a native of Los Angeles, CA, a single mother of 3, Sr. Business Administrator for a Manufacturing Consulting Firm, Owner and Cake Artist at Word of Mouth Sweets and Treats, and a breast cancer survivor.  Lawana earned her BA from Grambling State University in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. She has been a contributing writer for Grooveline, a magazine that represents southern hip hop and HBCU life and LSQ, a municipal marijuana publication.   Since her encounter with breast cancer, Lawana has become an advocate for cancer warriors and survivors and their caregivers.  She and her sons support Celebrate Life Cancer Ministries and Walk 3 to 9, both organizations work to raise money, awareness and resources for Cancer patients.  In 2019 Lawana was presented the Survivor Award from Still I Rise From Cancer Inc.
