Shirrell F. Edey

Shirrell Edey is an author, world traveler, business owner and entrepreneur. She earned her MBA with minors in Human Resource Management and Communications. She is the owner and Executive Chef at L.O.V.E (Living Our Vision Everyday) Premier Catering & Events and franchise owner of Chefs for Seniors ~ LA South Bay with a mission to expand personal chef services for seniors in need. The services being provided by L.O.V.E Premier Catering and Chefs for Seniors since the devastation of COVID 19 has evolved into philanthropy, community care projects, supporting first responders and workers still able to physically work in brick and mortar businesses and providing meals to the homeless and seniors with food insecurities.

 

Shirrell began at the onset of the pandemic by partnering with myCOVIDMD and Shared Harvest Fund to provide free meals to under-resource community members doing drive-through testing.  She has most recently joined Assemblymember Sydney Kamlager's "Sister Circle" to support black female entrepreneurs. Additionally, she has partnered with Beach Cities Health District as a "Blue Zones catered and personal chef for seniors, devoted time and resources to the mass vaccination efforts at Dodger Stadium as well as to various charities providing school supplies to inner city youths. She volunteers, walks, and participates in fundraisers for the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association and AIDS Project Los Angeles. 

 

Shirrell also doubles as a Certified Travel Agent to fuel her passion to see the world! Jamaica, Seychelles, Ireland, Australia, Fiji, Italy, Greece, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic are just a few of the places she has traveled to with a long bucket list of pending destinations in the works!

 

Shirrell has a real life testimony of being a Phoenix rising. The road to her current successes was a rough one but the light on her path shines bright in her upcoming autobiography detailing her journey “home”. She hopes to touch and encourage anyone who feels they have lost their way to living up their true potential and the life God intended.
